Francesca Cugno was born in Ragusa in 1997 and she has lived in Pachino, one of the southernmost cities in Sicily, until she was nineteen. She then moved to Milan to pursue her studies, where she graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in New Technologies of Art. Now she lives and works in Turin,(Italy)and she attends MA photography at ISIA in Urbino. Her photographic path currently develops into two main topics: the memory and traditions linked to the territory and how they change and the image itself, the power and manipulation of new forms of reading. In 2021 she participated in the “Archivio Atena” exhibition and residence and in “Un’idea di paese” exhibition in Sarzana. She was included in the young talents section of “Il Fotografo” number 333.
