Francesca Cugno was born in Sicily in 1997. She graduated in Brera Academy of Fine Arts and subsequently continued her studies in Photography ISIAU, where she developed a strong focus on visual experimentation. Her work centers on exploring memory, both individual and collective, through images that narrate stories of transformation and roots tied to the land, as well as the changes that occur over time. The artist also delves into the role of the image, considering it not just as a representation but as a sensory experience that allows for the exploration of the tangible and intangible dimensions of our perception, inviting the viewer to deeply reflect on the nature of reality.In 2023, she was selected as a Fresh Eyes Talent by Gup Magazine and as a Fotograf Talent by Fotograf magazine. Her projects have been exhibited on multiple occasions, PhMuseum in Bologna, Loop gallery in Berlin,Premio Raccont’arti exhibition, Fortezza Firmafede in Sarzana, She also participated in the Polycopies event with her thesis, Cartografie Percettive, published by Corraini Edizioni in 2024.
